Corrections

Published guidance is reviewed and amended over time. Standards change, materials are discontinued, and prices move, and a guide that has not kept up is actively misleading rather than merely stale.

Finding a Contractor

Readers looking for someone to carry out the work are best served by the ordinary channels. Put the same written specification to every firm, so the prices that come back are actually comparable.

Not a Contractor

The guides explain painting work; they do not provide it. Hiring somebody is a separate matter the reader arranges directly with a local firm.
